THE
CHALLENGE
The client
was in need of a comprehensive sales incentive program for their independent
resellers, looking to offer a spiff directly to the sales representatives in
their network of 3,000+ resellers. The
goal was to create an impactful turn-key program that was universally appealing
to the sales representatives yet simple to administer for the Client. The program required software development,
web-hosting, participant verification and enrollment, award points processing,
card fulfillment, communications (via email and web), administration, customer
service, program measurements and reporting.
THE SOLUTION
CardEx created
a fully customized program including a custom designed card that included the
client’s logo, and creative marketing.
The program website included a comprehensive enrollment and award points
processing module. CardEx integrated its back-end processing platform with a
secured server at the clients’ in order to obtain daily updates of eligible
resellers and products. Verified
Cardholders received personalized MasterCard incentive cards and were provided
with a link to a program website for card activation and award point claims
submission. The sales representatives
submitted invoice information and answered a few marketing questions online on the
program web site where the serial numbers and award points were validated and marketing
data was tabulated for client’s benefit. Participants were instructed to fax or
email their invoices to a CardEx customer service representative for a second
validation process prior to funds being awarded on their cards.
THE RESULT
The CardEx Sales
Incentive program was extremely
successful, with thousands of the client’s independent resellers. The program’s
ease of use allowed the client’s sales representatives to register online,
submit their claims, and receive their spiffs almost instantly! Within a short time period, the success and
benefits of the client’s program was communicated between the resellers. The
participation grew to approximately 100% and many of the client’s cardholders currently
earn thousands of dollars a month! Quarterly
surveys were used to tweak the program to ensure its effectiveness and success
for the client as well as the impact to the sales representatives in driving
sales.
