Q: How does a CardEx GiftCard differ from a traditional charge card?
A: Our prepaid debit GiftCards are MasterCard or
Visa-branded, and resemble regular credit and debit cards. The difference:
Prepaid debit cards are spending tools that have been funded, in advance, by
the card purchaser. If a company or an individual gives someone a GiftCard,
they've already applied a fixed amount of funds to the card. Once this amount
is completely spent, the recipient can either dispose of the card or retain it
as a keepsake of the original gift. By contrast, traditional credit cards are
not only for making purchases, but are designed as potential, long-term tools
for credit-building and personal financial transactions.

Q: How do I buy a CardEx GiftCard?
A: Simply visit www.CardEx.com

convenience, we'll bill your purchase to your MasterCard, Visa or American
Express credit card or check card. Similarly, businesses that wish to place
bulk orders (50 or more) of CardEx GiftCards should call our Sales Team

Q: How much does a GiftCard cost?
A: The total cost for each GiftCard involves the card
denomination, plus a small service fee. The service fee includes FREE first
class shipping.
Fees are as follows:
 $10-$300
denominations = $5.95 service fee per card
 $300.01-$600
denominations = $7.95 service fee per card
The fee for GiftCards valued at $301-$600 covers the higher servicing expenses
such as increased transaction costs, additional customer service calls, and
more automated telephone balance inquiries. If you'd like to place an order
above $600 and up to $5,000, please contact a helpful member of the CardEx

Q: Is there a minimum dollar amount that can be placed on the card?
What about for an entire order?
A: GiftCards are available in a wide assortment of
denominations to suit your needs. Personal GiftCards and Business GiftCards can

denominations from $25 to $600. If you'd like to place an order from $600 to

Q: Is it safe to order a GiftCard online?
A: CardEx's website utilizes 128-bit encryption security
to ensure the highest level of protection for your order. Additionally, any and
all personal data you submit is stored on highly secure servers equipped with
sophisticated encryption technology. Finally, we do not resell your personal

Q: Will my credit history affect my ability to purchase a GiftCard?
A: No worries, here. Your personal credit history will
not determine your eligibility to purchase a CardEx GiftCard. However, when
you're ready to buy a GiftCard, it is important that you responsibly choose the
best payment method. Specifically, CardEx accepts credit cards, check cards,
wire transfers and company checks. If your credit card is in good standing,
your GiftCard purchase will be approved and processed. Similarly, it is
advisable to maintain sufficient funds in your account to initiate a wire
transfer, check card or a company check transaction.

A: Yes, for a small setup fee you can have your
company's logo custom printed to your Business GiftCard. Please allow up to 2
weeks for us to complete the customization. Additionally, if you would like
your card completely re-designed, we maintain a full graphics department.
Q: How long does it take to receive my GiftCard?
A: CardEx GiftCards are normally produced and delivered
(via FREE first class shipping) within five 5 to 7 business days. If your
purchase takes longer to arrive, call CardEx Customer Service at

international addresses.
Q: Can I cancel an order placed with CardEx?

A: CardEx prepaid GiftCards carry the

Q: What happens if I need to return an item?
A: Each merchant location has its own return
policies and will handle the returns in the same manner as any other MasterCard

A: Yes, CardEx GiftCards enable you to shop online. Sit

Q:Do I need a 4-digit PIN number to use my GiftCard in a store?
A: No, you do not require a PIN number. When you
make a purchase, CardEx debit cards are handled like any credit cards: The
store clerk simply runs the card through the machine to capture the necessary
account information. From there, you're on your way - possibly, to use your
remaining GiftCard balance wherever MasterCard or Visa are accepted.
Q: Will I get cash back from any unused portion of the card?
A: Typically, you will not receive cash back on your
purchases. Your GiftCard is a prepaid debit card. Every time you use it, the
purchase amount is deducted from the available balance until that balance
reaches zero. For example, if your available balance is $50 and you buy a $40
shirt, the $10 difference will remain of you card and become your new available
balance. Sometimes, in the case of returned items, a merchant may provide a
cash refund.
Q: How can I check my GiftCard balance?
A: That's a good question, because it's wise to
periodically check your account balance. Pick either of these easy ways to find
out how much spending splendor is in your future:

Q: Why, when I check my balance online, it sometimes displays a
lower balance than my actual balance?
A: This usually means that there is an outstanding
authorization on your card. Retailers such as restaurants, hotels and gas
stations will often run your card for authorization before you make your final
purchase. When the final purchase is made, the actual amount will be authorized
again and settled. The original authorization amount will remain pending on
your account for up to 5 days. When the authorization settles, or drops off
(after 5 days), your account will show your adjusted total balance.

A: Yes, here's how you can obtain your

Q: Can I receive a cash advance from my Personal GiftCard?
A: You cannot use Personal GiftCards to
receive a cash advance. Additionally, Personal GiftCards cannot be used at
ATM's or at bank teller windows to withdraw cash. Why not? Well, because CardEx
GiftCards are prepaid. That's like already having cash on hand until the funded
amount of the card is completely used. However, CardEx Business GiftCards offer
optional ATM and cash advance capabilities in addition to other features.
Q: Can money be added after the initial limit runs out?
A: Money cannot be added to Personal
GiftCards. However, the option to add more money to your debit card (the
process known as "re-loading") is available with CardEx IncentiveCards,
MoneyCards and CashCards. Please visit www.CardEx.com
for additional information on re-loadable cards, which for a minimal fee,
permit you to continuously add funds.
Q: Can my GiftCard ever have a negative balance?
A: Technically no, because any authorization
request that is greater than the card's available balance will be declined.
However, sometimes, a merchant allows a purchase without prior authorization or
forces a transaction through. If this happens and you exceed your card's limit,
you will be billed for the excess amount, plus applicable service fees. Before
making a purchase, and to avoid charges, visit
www.MyCardEx.com to check your account balance.
Q: Can I pay my credit card bills with my GiftCard?
A: Credit card, utility, or other companies that
accept a debit card as a form of payment will be able to accept your GiftCard.
However, CardEx debit cards contain restrictions on cash advances. Ultimately,
using CardEx debit cards, instead of regular credit cards, will save you the
expense of potentially high credit card interest or other charges.
Q: If I have more than one card, can I combine them into one
account?
A: There are many uses for CardEx GiftCards (and
frankly, we're thrilled to know that you own more than one), but currently,
multiple debit cards cannot be combined to create a single account.
Q: How long can I use my GiftCard?
A: You may make purchases up to 6 months after
the card issue date. However, a monthly maintenance fee of $5.00 will be
assessed beginning in the 7th month after the card issue date, and continuing
until the remaining value is depleted or until the expiration of the card.
Q: What if there are still funds available when my GiftCard expires?
A: We'd be amazed if you didn't use the entire
card amount before the card expires. There's so much you can do with your
GiftCard. However, if still have funds available, you can either request a new
GiftCard or a refund check. If you request a GiftCard, we will issue a new card
and mail it to you with the remaining balance on your account - minus a
Re-Issue Fee of $9.95. If you choose to receive a refund check, your remaining
funds - minus a Check Issuance Fee of $25 - will be distributed by check within
4 to 6 weeks.
Q: What if my GiftCard is ever lost or stolen?
A: Immediately report a lost or stolen card to Customer
Service at +1.888.801.3770. You can call 24-hours a day, seven days a week. A
replacement card will be sent to you, minus a reissue fee that will be deducted
from the card balance. As long as the lost or stolen card is reported immediately,
you will not be responsible for any unauthorized charges. Please review the
