CardEx respects your privacy. Any information you give us isprivate and confidential, and CardEx will not use it for any purpose other than to fulfill your request for products, services, and/or information.
We do not collect any personal information about you exceptwhen specifically and knowingly provided by you.
When you place orders, we offer the use of a secure server.
The secure server software, Secure Socket Layer (SSL), encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. Furthermore, all of the customer data we collect is protected against unauthorized access.

We collect information on you when you: 1. Register /Redeem: When you register on www.CardEx.com or www.MyCardEx.com, or when you visit these sites to redeem a GiftCard Award Certificate, we will ask you to fill out a registration form or redemption form online. The registration form or redemption form requires the following information:
Your First Name, Middle Initial and Last Name
Your Street Address, City, State and Zip Code
Your E-mail address
Your Phone Number
A Password (chosen by you)
A Password Hint (chosen by you in case you forgot your password)
If you are a Participant in one of our employee incentives and
rewards programs, we may collect additional information required by the Program Administrator such as Social Security number, Employee ID number, Cost Center, etc. 2. Purchase a GiftCard or GiftCard Award Certificate: Before you purchase a GiftCard or GiftCard Award Certificate, we will ask you to provide 4 pieces of information in order to process your transaction (the same information you would provide to any online merchant when buying an item):
Your Credit Card Number
The Expiration Date of your credit card
The 3 digit Card Code printed on your Visa/MasterCard card
signature panel (or 4 digit card code printed on the front of our American Express card)
The Billing Address for your credit card account
3. Use your GiftCard or IncentiveCard. When you make the purchase, we collect the following information from the merchant:
Name of Merchant
Transaction Date
Amount of Purchase
When you make inquiries to our automatic Interactive Voice Response System (IVR) or through a live Customer Service Representative, you will be asked to provide your unique authentication information. Either the automated system or the Customer Service Representative will have access to your account records in order to perform various functions requested by you.
CardEx does not and will not sell or provide personal information to third parties for independent use. We may, however, share personal information with business partners if that information is required to provide the product or service you have requested. For example, in order to receive your GiftCard(s) we provide only the necessary information to the appropriate partner so that this service can be fulfilled. They adhere to using information only as directed by CardEx. We do not reveal specific information about our customers' accounts or other personally identifiable data unless (1) our customer has requested or authorized it; (2) the information is provided to help complete a transaction initiated by our customers; (3) the information is provided to a reputable credit bureau or similar information reporting agency; or (4) disclosure is lawfully permitted or required.
Visitors to the CardEx web site are anonymous until they login or register. We collect the following non-identifying information about our visitors: the name of the domain from which you access the Internet (for example, msn.com, if you are connecting from a Microsoft MSN account); the date and time you access our site; and the Internet address of the web site from which you linked directly to our site. If you submit an order form online, or redeem a GiftCard Award Certificate where confidential information, such as your account number or social security number is requested, this information will be transmitted over a secure connection using encryption (we will notify you when you are using our secured connection). You may elect to provide us with personal information via e-mail or our feedback form. This information is used internally, as appropriate, to handle your request and manage our web site. It is not disseminated or sold to other organizations. Please keep in mind that e-mail is not secure against interception. We will use your email address to contact you regarding your GiftCard or IncentiveCard, to deliver additional cards to you or for other customer service and legal notice purposes. We also use your e-mail address to answer your e-mail or the customer service requests we receive from you. In order to provide consistent high-quality customer service, we may also store any correspondence with you in a file specific to you. If you are receiving a GiftCard Award Certificate from a corporate client, your Award Certificate may be delivered to you at the e-mail address provided to us by the corporate client. CardEx may provide our business partners or corporate clients with your e-mail address to ensure the proper and expedient delivery of future GiftCard Award Certificates. See Information Sharing above. You can elect to receive updates via e-mail regarding CardEx's products and services, service enhancements or special offers and promotions related to your Card.
Our site uses order forms to enable you to request information and/or purchase
products. For these purposes, we may collect your contact information (e.g.,
your e-mail address, mailing address, etc.) and financial information (e.g.,
credit card number). Contact information from the order form is used to send
orders and/or information about our company to you and/or a recipient whose
contact information you may provide us. Your contact information may also be
used to get in touch with you when necessary.
We recognize that protecting children's identities and privacy is important. We comply with the practices established under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. We do not knowingly market to or solicit information from children under 13 without parental consent.
We have implemented procedures to help ensure that your information is accurate, current, and complete in accordance with commercial standards. We also have procedures for responding to your requests for correcting inaccurate information in a timely manner, and updating information and removing old information. CardEx recommends that you take the following precautions to guard against the disclosure and unauthorized use of your account and personal information:
Never provide personal information (including Social Securitynumbers or card information) over the phone unless you have initiated the call and know with whom you are speaking.
Safeguard all your Stored Value Cards or debit cards.
Memorize personal identification numbers (PINs) and refrainfrom writing PINs, Social Security numbers or credit card numbers where they can easily be found.
Store cancelled checks, new checks and account statements in asafe place. Report
lost or stolen cards immediately.
